When its hot outside and air conditioned inside, linen is the perfect thing to wear. Never mind that it wrinkles. It breathes and looks elegant and you don’t wear it in winter. Right?
This is a linen J.Crew dress. I like to buy their dresses on sale at the end of the season. Spring/Summer starts in September/October here in in Sydney which is the end of the northern hemisphere summer. As a result, the US retailers provide me with great clothes at inexpensive prices. After a bit of trial and error with sizes, it’s possible to build a great wardrobe. After having had children, I feel guilty about buying expensive clothing anymore. And if its possible to buy two dresses for the price of one? But I did buy designer when I was young and single. I distinctly remember the EUR 800 Gucci blouse that I purchased in Torino with Francesca. That was fifteen years ago. Sigh.
I ran into an old client on the street. D is the nicest man ever to work for an investment bank. He didn’t recognise me at first. My hair is long and straight, I’ve lost some more weight and I had my sunglasses and helmet on.
But with a bit of prompting, he recognised me and we chatted for a few minutes.
Linus Eleanor bag. (Do you recognise a pattern after two posts?)
